What Does this sperm Analysis Result Mean?

Hi.
We have been struggling to fall pregnant for almost a year now. My husbands sperm analysis results have come back at 12 mil, 14 % normal and 79 % Amorphic. I am also now in the early stages of pregnancy which my gynae believes is amazing considering the sperm analysis results. Our concern now is what if an amorphic sperm fertised the egg?

Hello

Your husband's semen analysis suggest low sperm count and excessive abnormal sperms.
Normally sperm count should be at least 20 millions /ml.
Normally 16 % sperms should have normal morphology for natural fertilization.
If findings doesn't improve then you may need assisted fertilization techniques like IUI,ICSI etc.
There is no need to get disappoint. You condition is manageable now a days.

Wish you all the best.
Take Care
